Introduction

This privacy policy (the "Policy") explains how Mullet Protocol ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, processes, protects and discloses your personal information, and sets out your related rights and choices. "Personal information" in this Policy means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Please read this Policy carefully. If you have any questions, contact us using the details in the "Contact us" section at the end.

1. Scope and updates

This Policy applies to personal information collected when you interact with us through our website (mullet.top), mobile applications, application programming interfaces (APIs) and any related tools, information or technology (together, the "services"). By using the services you agree to the terms of this Policy.

We reserve the right to update this Policy from time to time. Any update takes effect when the revised policy is published on this page, and the "last updated" date at the top is changed. Where changes are material we will notify you by appropriate means (for example a notice in the service interface). Please review this Policy periodically so you are aware of any changes.

2. How we collect your personal information

When you use or interact with our services, we may collect personal information in the following ways:

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Blockchain account information, such as your Ethereum or Solana network address (on-chain address), crypto wallet details and associated public keys.
  • Transaction information, including the type, amount and timestamp of transactions you carry out on the services, transaction history and related fees paid.
  • Communications and support information you provide through customer service chat, social media, surveys, feedback forms or other channels.

2.2 Information collected through automated technologies

  • Basic and device information: IP address, country, device type, brand, manufacturer, model, operating system, language and time zone settings, browser (and plugin) type and version, referral source (web or app), and basic device configuration and environment settings.
  • Device network and application information: network access method, wireless router identifiers (BSSID, SSID), IP address, WiFi lists, network carrier and base station information, connection status, and the list of applications installed on the device (including package names and version numbers). For fraud prevention, security risk control and compliance checks, we may collect device environment information (for example whether the device is jailbroken/rooted, whether hooking risks are present, or whether it is running in an emulator).
  • Online identifiers and usage data: geolocation, browser fingerprint, operating system, IP address, conversion events, user preferences, crash logs, and data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2.3 Information obtained from third parties

To meet legal obligations and prevent fraud or unlawful activity, we may receive your personal information from public databases, third-party service providers, partners or other lawful sources, and combine it with the information we collect through the services.

3. How we use your personal information

Relying on your consent, the performance of a contract with you, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests, we use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Providing and improving the services: operating, maintaining, customising, measuring and improving the services; creating and managing user accounts; processing transactions; sending you confirmations, notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages.
  • Security and compliance: protecting against, investigating and deterring fraudulent, unauthorised or unlawful activity; monitoring and verifying identity or service access, and countering spam, malware or security risks; carrying out internal operations needed to provide the services, including debugging software errors and operational issues; enforcing agreements with third parties; complying with applicable security laws and regulations.
  • Customer support: responding to your enquiries, investigating and resolving user concerns, and monitoring and improving our support processes.
  • Personalisation and marketing: where you have consented or the law permits, personalising your experience and communications and marketing our services, features, promotions, events and news to you. You can opt out of marketing via the "unsubscribe" link in our emails or by contacting us.
  • Research and development: conducting testing, research, analysis and product development to improve the security and functionality of the services and build new features.
  • Legal obligations and claims: enforcing our terms and policies, preserving the integrity of the services, defending legal claims or disputes, and responding to requests from regulators and government authorities.
  • Anonymisation and aggregation: anonymising or aggregating information (so that it no longer identifies an individual) for statistical analysis, understanding our user base and similar purposes.

4. How we share and disclose personal information

We share your personal information only in the following circumstances:

  • Legal obligations: in response to a subpoena, court order or other legal process; to cooperate with government investigations; to prevent harm to others; to report suspected unlawful activity; or to investigate breaches of our agreements.
  • Service providers and partners: with service providers who help us operate the business and meet compliance obligations (such as technology, hosting and marketing providers). Subject to any applicable consent requirements, we may also share with business partners.
  • Affiliates: with our subsidiaries and affiliated companies for purposes consistent with this Policy.
  • Business changes: in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganisation or sale of all or part of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.
  • With your consent: any other sharing where you have given explicit consent.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. However, we may share information with unaffiliated third parties so they can market to you. We may also share aggregated or de-identified data.

5. Data storage and international transfers

To provide a secure and stable service, our servers are located in multiple places worldwide, including Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. Your personal information may be processed in jurisdictions other than your country of residence. We protect your data in line with the safeguards described in this Policy and the legal frameworks of the relevant jurisdictions (such as standard contractual clauses).

6. Data retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. In determining retention periods we consider the volume, nature and sensitivity of the information, the purposes of processing, and whether those purposes can be achieved by other means.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the following rights:

  • Access and portability: request access to the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy in a machine-readable format.
  • Correction and deletion: request correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Restriction and objection: request that we restrict processing of your personal information, or object to it.
  • Withdrawing consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Complaints: lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To keep your information secure, we may need to verify your identity before responding to a rights request. We may decline unreasonable requests where the law permits. Please use the "Contact us" section to exercise your rights.

8. Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our authorised third parties use cookies, pixel tags, local storage and similar technologies to collect information, in order to improve your experience, enhance functionality, strengthen security and measure the performance of the services.

  • Strictly necessary cookies: required for the services to work and cannot be switched off.
  • Performance cookies: help us measure visits and traffic sources so we can improve performance.
  • Functional cookies: recognise you when you return so we can personalise the experience.
  • Marketing cookies: used by third parties to deliver personalised advertising.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, mobile advertising ID limits, privacy extensions (such as the Brave browser or Privacy Badger) or industry opt-out platforms (such as the Digital Advertising Alliance). Disabling cookies may affect some functionality.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at anyone under 18. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a minor, we will take steps to delete it.

Our services may contain links to third-party websites that we do not operate. This Policy does not apply to those websites; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

11. Additional statements

We do not "sell" personal information for monetary consideration. We may share personal information with third parties for online advertising purposes, and you can opt out as described in section 8.

You will not be discriminated against for exercising the rights above. To exercise them, please submit a request through the "Contact us" section; we will need to verify your identity. You may also authorise someone to act on your behalf, provided they supply written proof of authorisation.
